My teaching approach will be adapted according to the individual‘s needs. To be successful in providing language support, it is first necessary is determine the needs of the student (or audience) and how to best meet these needs. Different approaches can be taken depending on the goal(s). It is important that the teacher and student(s) agree to the goal(s) and what is required to reach the goal(s). Clarifying and setting expectations are key to a successful learning process.

Overall I have a very personal, hands-on style when working with individuals and groups. What I have learned by my many years of living abroad and interacting in a variety of intercultural environments is that the learning process is fluid. Just as you think you are making progress, you feel like you have taken two steps backwards. Learning a foreign language requires an open mind and a flexible, positive attitude. Perfection cannot always be the goal; instead, it is important to accept your ability and continue to improve against yourself. In the end it’s all about focus, practice and having fun.
