Vor the past four years I’ve had the joy of leading my students towards not only speaking, but understanding the German language. Having grown up in a multicultural and bilingual environment, I am fine tuned to the subtle differences in word usage and the underlying logic and patterns of grammar. 90 percent of all my students have passed their German exams and are now living, working, or studying in Germany.
My classes are conducted either fully in German or a combination of German and English or Chinese.
My teaching style is to first assess the student’s current level of understanding, address gaps and come up with a tailored lesson plan during a free 30 minute trial lesson. Afterwards, depending on the student’s needs I use a combination of different resources such as German news in simplified language, news articles ,Textbooks such as Schritte International. Goethe mock exams, and many other resources to practice grammar, speaking, listening, reading and writing. I give my students extensive handouts regarding grammar and prepare topic lessons such as German for traveling, How to form the past tense and anything else that the student requires.
I use google meet for the lessons and if the student consents, record the lesson so they can review it afterwards. My classes take 60 minutes and cost 20 Euros per hour.
