My class sessions mainly start with open conversations that allow me to learn about my student and also make an assessment of how best can help them make improvements. I like to ask the student what goals or targets they may have and also get to have a picture of what weaknesses or strengths they believe they have in English. My approach may take a contextual or topical approach to get the student to understand the use of nouns and verbs. These go on to take a role play-based approach to help the student apply the right use of tenses, adjectives, and pronouns. I also like to take on new word challenges to teach my students new words. I also like to take pronunciation exercises and give practice tasks. However, I am also open to directions and reading material my students may like to take.
