In online sessions, I try to make the class as interactive as possible. In order to that, I use graphical representations more than text based slides which helps to capture the attention of the students. Also, to make the sessions interactive I use virtual whiteboard and encourage healthy group discussions and debates. This method helps the students to exercise their own idea about the topic of discussion.
In online platform, I prefer the flip classroom method the most. Here the students will get a pre-recorded video of the lecture of the day followed by a short quiz or exercise. Then a live online session will be held where I will demonstrate the topic again and a discussion will be held among the students and me. I have experience of making these short quiz on "Kahoot" which is a fun way to test one's knowledge in an effective manner. Also, this method takes few minutes, so students will not burn out before the actual live session.
I always try to keep the contents of the lecture up-to-date. As the world around us is changing constantly such as introduction of AI tools as ChatGPT, now a days a tutor needs to make the contents not only up-to-date but also creative and interesting to serve the students better.
In a classroom environment, I am very friendly and easily approachable. So, I believe the students will be at ease and inetrested to take the classes. Also, I have experience of both being a teacher and a student in an online platform. So, I have exposure to the methods that student find easy to connect with in an online platform.
