In my English lessons, I prioritize an interactive and supportive environment where students feel comfortable experimenting with language. My teaching approach blends Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), Task-Based Learning (TBL), and Differentiated Instruction to meet the diverse needs and proficiency levels within the classroom. This combination enables students to engage with authentic language use and feel empowered to communicate effectively in real-world situations.

Each lesson starts with a warm-up, typically a short discussion or icebreaker related to the day’s topic to activate prior knowledge and get students comfortable speaking. From there, I introduce the core content, using a mix of authentic materials like articles, podcast snippets, and video clips, which makes the learning process more relevant and engaging. I structure activities around themes, such as “Environmental Issues” or “Cultural Diversity,” integrating vocabulary, grammar, and skills like listening, speaking, reading, and writing to provide comprehensive language exposure.

Pair and group work are central to my classroom dynamics. Students collaborate on tasks, such as role-playing scenarios, interviewing each other, or solving problems, which encourages communication and builds confidence. I rotate among groups, offering feedback and guiding discussions as needed.

After years of teaching, I’ve learned the importance of adapting to each class’s unique needs, using formative assessments and student feedback to fine-tune my approach.
