Minijob as an online English teacher, while I could not understand what (ad) means

I used to work as a lecturer at Aden University, where the language of teaching is English .I spent five years teaching various subjects in the engineering context and elsewhere. I was also active during my university studies in explaining the subjects to my colleagues in English, as I completed my master’s studies in Hungary and the language of study was English as well.
