I believe teaching is a work of heart; I desire to make my students love English language and understand the fact that it is not only a school subject which is the biggest challenge when teaching non-native learners as you know. I want my learners to realise that English is the universal language that builds bridges between cultures. Since 2010, I have been teaching English to young and adult learners face-to-face and online. I have taught general English, ESP (business, medical, marketing English), EAP, exam preparations for IELTS, PTE, TOEIC, ELL and Cambridge exams. Throughout my career, I worked in various institutions such as summer camps, private schools, and online teaching companies. I worked with students from various age groups who are from different parts of the world with different contexts and cultural aspects. Therefore, I believe one size does not fit all, every learner is unique and their needs and learning preferences as well, which require attention and understanding. To understand my learners’ needs better, I have taken various courses starting form ‘the psychology of learning’and and continue my lifelong learning journey with new courses today.
Regarding my teaching understanding, I the always begin with getting to know my students, analysing their needs, aims, contexts and preferences. I, then, prepare my lesson plans to meet their needs and best way to help them achieve their aims, which made me a respected and successful teacher. To enhance my skills, I have completed my master’s degree with Merit at the University of Brighton in TESOL with ICT and TEFL-Q diploma course, which is accepted as the equivalent of Delta in the UK. One of the accomplishments I am proud the most is my research project regarding increasing the efficacy of online learning and teaching. As my research is considered to be ground-breaking research in the online education field, it is submitted for peer review at the Oxford University Press and Cambridge University Press.
