Ronja Kaplin

I am Ronja and I am a Finnish marine biology master's student who moved to Cologne, Germany and is available for help when it comes to questions about biology, geography, health studies, and sustainability. These subjects were the same I had as a substitute teacher in Finland for 7-9th grades. I have studied for 5 years and I am finishing my master's at the time, which leaves me with some extra time to help out if there are students in need of extra tutoring. I speak English, Finnish, and, Swedish fluently. I am a beginner in German but I hope to learn it quickly since I now live here.

Furthermore, I have been a part of my university's extra curricular activities, where we organize events and tutor new students when they arrive to campus. Everything they need to know and learn we help them with during their first year, we also provide support since being new at university can sometimes be quite different. Additionally I was the head of the biological association on campus which gave me good team work, leadership and organizing skills.

Before my time at university I worked onboard a cruise ship for four years, where my job was to take care of the children's programs. Not only did we entertain the children, we also made sure everyone had a great experience onboard, which showed me I had a passion for service and helping people.

I am available for online classes, so not living close by is no issue for me. I am also available for in-person classes in the Cologne area. If all of this sounds good to you, I am more than happy to be your tutor.
