I have 8 years teaching experience in Deutschland and three years in West Africa. In Africa was the child centred approach where the student was the main focus channelling his/her interest and capabilities into the teaching.
In Deutschland, English is not a native language so applying the immersion method helps the students the understand the language s/he is supposed to know.
Grammar will be the focus because a good English grammar is a foundation to understanding and speaking well. Learning more vocabularies, nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs form a basis for good sentence formulation and speaking
