I have been an English tutor for 34 years, teaching students of various grades and assisting them with their exams and schoolwork. Throughout my career, I have been deeply involved in private English tutoring, both in face-to-face and online settings. My commitment to teaching was further solidified during my nine years of experience at Işıkkent IB Primary School. As a dedicated IB-trained educator, I have a passion for fostering inquisitiveness, effective communication, and critical thinking skills through literature and drama clubs, as well as social activities aligned with the IB and Cambridge Curriculum.

Every student possesses a unique learning style, and it is essential to identify the most effective approach to enhance their learning. I prioritize reading and writing in my teaching sessions. I believe that students learn from their mistakes, so I encourage them to express themselves and write, even if they are uncertain about the answers. My lessons also incorporate text-related videos and pictures to make them more engaging. I incorporate topic-related practices and teach essay writing and paragraph reading techniques. Additionally, I implement game-based learning and provide enjoyable activities towards the end of the lesson, tailored to the age group.

Schoolwork is a priority during my lessons, and I strive to align my teaching with the school curriculum. This approach helps students gain confidence in their school studies.
