Experienced English teacher for young and older

My graduate studies in English Literature, as well as my years of experience teaching in the classroom have provided me with a solid foundation for teaching courses in all areas of the English curriculum--primary, secondary, post-secondary, and business. I have developed and taught a range of courses, including English and composition classes one or more levels below first-year college to both native and non-native speakers of English, as well as graduate-level English and composition for International students.

As a teacher, I strive to create a welcoming, yet challenging environment for my students. I encourage an atmosphere of trust and open communication for my students. I aim to build community early in the school year and to encourage all my students to participate and expand their learning to the best of their abilities. I believe in treating my students with respect, valuing the skills and knowledge that they bring to the classroom while encouraging them to meet new challenges while providing them with the support they need to fulfill their goals.
