Advanced English Teacher with +20 years Experience in Ielts and Cambridge Exam Preparation

I am a native English speaker from London UK. I’m fully qualified with over 20 years’ experience as an Ielts Examiner, Corporate Language Trainer, Associate Lecturer in English for Academic Purposes and Teacher Trainer.

I specialise in Business English, Ielts, CPE and CAE preparation courses, and also have a specialist knowledge of both phonology and academic writing, I am thus able to offer practical and effective strategies to help with regard to pronunciation and writing skills.

I use an integrated approach to language learning which seeks to enable rapid improvement in all four key skills, speaking, listening, writing, and reading and thereby facilitate more effective communication in the world of business, in the workplace, in academic studies and in a social context.

I have both a strong academic background, being a philosophy graduate from the University of Durham, and a strong creative sense, having originally studied Photography and Graphic design.

I also write and perform poetry, act, as well as composing and performing digital music and percussion. I enjoy a very high standard of technical and IT skills, with experience in coding, desktop publishing, digital art, and website design.
