Depending on the age group and the exercises being taught, I will help students understand the detailed processes of reaching a required result, including the specific equations, parameters etc. Mathematics requires a lot of practice questions where the students will usually find difficult and need explanation on how to get over the step they are stuck on.

Usually I will give examples to cover all possible outcomes and answer any questions students may have, followed by exercises that cover a wide range of different types of problems. To be done either together and of course at home as well.

When exams are near I start looking at past exam questions from previous years to get the students into the rhythm of examination and to practice for the given amount of time for exams.
