I would like to point out that my entire professional life has been strongly connected to linguistic challenges. I did have an opportunity to live in a number of completely different countries and the important aspect was not just living itself but actively cooperating with representants of different nations and cultural backgrounds. Linguistics are, in my humble opinion not to be treated in a strict, mathematical way of understanding. There is a certain flow firstly in type of language, vocabulary, phrasing etc. and secondly in interpretation within different geographical, ethnical or even professional environments. Dare I say that I had a fair share of my life so far dedicated to understanding and incorporating these nuances in my work. I mentioned professional life. Well, my bond with languages dates back as early as a secondary school which concentrated strongly on foreign languages. I indeed passed my high school certification solely having language exams. Furthermore I did obtain a number of different certificates proving proficiency both in German and English including a Goethe Institut exam, Polish Foreign Office exams (English and German), IELTS Academic and recently a C1 Zertifikat taken in Austria. I have over 15 years of journalistic experience where, I believe you will agree both spoken and written language are highly prioritized and last but not least a considerable amount of translatory work itself in a number of different fields be it business, sports, politics, lifestyle or technical.
