Teaching is an art so that teachers create a propitious atmosphere to motive their learners by creating role playing, content in context. Playing a role as a ESL teacher , I use the CBA approach using audiovisual aids and well selected content for students to make them able to perform and be autonomous participants in for a good society. Thus, I only guide students and help them in order to make them not only the subject matter but real actors.
During my lessons, I start with warming up the students to integrate the student’s within the target subject. Then, move forward to into practice , checking, guiding, helping and correcting if necessary. Students exchange their ideas and get into the subject matter unconsciously. After every task , I evaluate the understanding of the students as well as their feedback about the lesson.However, the lesson plan should is as always planned in advance .
Creativity is a must, thus , I always evaluate my lessons as i evaluate my students responses. Hence, students do not like routines . A creative quiz can turn a laziness into effectiveness.
Methods and approaches have been changing via time indeed. Applying a method encompasses its benefits for the target task. In other words, if i want to teach a grammar task effectively, I integrate my students into an a situation of integration. For instance, using adverbs of frequency in English language makes students describe their daily activities, they would surely discover the topic of the lesson but they don’t know that they use the simple present describing these adverbs. Yet, I notice that they use the key words of the lesson to produce sentences describing their habits and daily routines using the target tense spontaneously.
To conclude, student-teacher class association won’t end in two words but the focus is always on what benefits the learners take and how they apply what they have learnt to be autonomous performers.
