Melisse Bisbé Brito

My name is Melisse Bisbé Brito, I am 25 years old and I was born in Cuba. I'm currently studying the Master Molecular Life Sciences at Friedrich Schiller University. I would like to start as a Spanish tutor in this platform.

When I was studying my Bachelor degree in Spain I was a tutor of some high school students for one year. I have taught Spanish, Chemistry, Maths and English. I have earned experience on how to structure and prepare my classes. I also try to read and keep update it to improve every time.

I consider that for a good relationship between the student and the teacher, there must be good communication; we must pay attention, listen and understand what they want to convey. In addition, a relationship of respect, trust and teaching from empathy must be established.
I think it is important to create a bond with students, and to generate meaningful learning in them; sometimes it is not so important what valuable knowledge is transmitted but rather how, it is essential to find an attractive way to do it for them. We should focus on their interests and passions and the rhythm of each one to create the classes. It is also important to listen the suggestions that the students have to prepare the classes and make them better.

I always try to prepare my classes very dynamic. There are mainly discussion-based classes where the student will feel encourage to participate and ask questions. I want to interact with the student and have feedback.
