Impacting knowledge into others and or teaching and learning a new skill is something that is essentially fulfilling to me. I have taught both adults and children and ultimately, my patience is what has been a key enabler of the entire teaching and learning process. My lessons are interactive and tend to be inclusive, as I give individual tasks as well as group tasks. I make story telling a tool in my class because the human mind is known for its curiosity. I also make use for lesson materials online such as short animated stories, from which I curate comprehension questions to make sure my students are following and to also ascertain that the understanding of the language is being built upon. I use books that have dialogue stories with diverse characters so that students take up the various roles and read out their individual parts to bring the story together. This is especially thrilling for the younger children because it makes them feel part of the story in the book. while doing this, I also ensure that the student's reading skills are improving. I have taught 3 classes in the American School of English in Dnipropertrovsk, Ukraine and I had a very positive experience working with both the adults and the children. I was able to use positive reinforcement methods to get my student motivated into doing more, when it came to my young students and for my adult students, I have a series of interactions with them about the things they are passionate about and these include family, career and aspirations in life.
