I have always been a passionate teacher with 3 + years of experience in delivering ESL instructions at schools (K-12) and as 5+ years as a freelancer. I do love teaching language as well as learning new ones which provides me with empathy for the learners of new languages. And I certainly will continue learning more languages as long as I can do.
It's important to boost my students' confidence while helping them learning new things every single day. Committed to encouraging my students to master the English language and develop a love for languages. Well-versed in using technology during the sessions (I have still been developing myself on this matter). Furthermore, creating feelings of security and comfort within my students I like introducing items of cultural and personal relevance soon after I get to know my students and their personal and cultural background bit better. I have been using learner-centered and interactive methods since I have begun teaching. I like using authentic materials on which my students are more familiar and eager to speak. It's vital to see the learners to express themselves freely in a foreign language. Mistakes are welcomed to learn better and further. In a world where the language of English has been a lingua franca for many years, we need to express ourselves with enthusiasm w/out any fear of speaking or making mistakes.
To sum up, keeping learners' interest and enthusiasm are foremost important for me as a teacher (as well as a foreign language learner). My motto is "Let's discover the inner child who is a little sponge for language."
