An English conversation teacher you'll have fun talking to! (I promise)

I'm Ola and I'll bet that I can make your language learning experience a bit easier! Whether you need a conversation partner to feel more secure in your speaking skills, someone to proofread your creative writing, or you're finally ready to finally get what the conditionals are all about—I'm here to help out. I'm easy-going, excited to talk to you about topics you're interested in, and "really nice, sometimes even funny" (according to my grandma).

My mother tongue is Polish, but I learnt English as a child, and then it never really went away. I read, studied, and worked bilingually, finally getting my C2 Cambridge certification and even doing simultaneous interpreting at conferences. I speak English like a native, but I also know what it's like to learn it as a second language—what examples work best for which language features, and what to focus on in order to be understood.

I'm also a language learner myself: I taught myself French and Spanish, and I'm currently learning German. I've tried and tested many methods and approaches and I'm happy to see which ones work best for my students. If we work together, you can expect me to take the time to get to know you and your needs—this will help me decide which tools we should use and what our top priority should be. If you want to learn the basics and be understood, I won't bother you with grammar that won't come up in daily conversations, but if you want to prep for an exam, I will happily put on my detail-oriented hat. Either way, you'll learn exactly what you need to learn.
