English teacher from Australia for all levels and ages

Hello! My name is Laura, I am 32 years old and from Sydney, Australia. I am a passionate and enthusiastic English teacher for school children and adults. My goal is to help my students care about education and become life-long learners. I strive to know my individual students and how they learn best. I implement strategies for differentiated teaching to meet the specific needs of students across a range of levels and abilities. In my lessons I am patient, moving at the students pace to ensure they are confident, relaxed and focused, but at the same time always setting challenging and fun activities that will motivate them to expand their knowledge. After a level test and needs analysis I personalize my lessons. For face-to-face lessons I teach with either a PPP (presentation, practice, production) or ESA (engage, study, activate) lesson plan structure. I use a before, during and after structure for online lessons, where students often receive materials to review before the lesson to warm up, and a consolidation task for afterwards. My lessons are aimed at all levels from beginners to advanced students, and of all ages and learning abilities. I only speak English during my lessons. This is to immerse the student in the English language, and also because I am still learning German!
