I have 4 years of teaching experience, as a teachers aid at both primary schools and high Schools in Australia (certificate uploaded). As such, I have experience with individuals of all ages and walks of life.
I worked as a teachers assistant throughout university as I studied Politics, philosophy & Economics/Spanish. I am passionate about both teaching and languages, and I have a clear and easy to understand accent (I grew up in both Australia and England, so my accent is a soft mix of the two). I am a perfect fit to tutor those seeking to develop their English speaking, listening and writing skills, or just English in general!
I have studied French and Spanish throughout my schooling and university years, so I am well aware of the challenges and stages of learning a new language, I know how it feels to feel hopeless or exhausted, but NEEDING to find a way to go on. I also know how wonderful ti feels to have a good session, and see some breakthrough in your abilities.
Also, I will be able to somewhat communicate with those French/Spanish speakers who are nervous about starting english classes!
My teaching methodology is FLEXIBLE. I want to meet you and just chat about what you want.
For example, there have been times in my Spanish learning journey where I just wanted someone to converse with; I wanted their full attention and devotion to improving my conversational skills.
You can take the reigns, or I can take the reigns: We can just converse, we can listen to conversations and unpack them together, we can work on pronunciation, we can act out scenarios, we can do writing exercises, we can even just go over your homework together.
This is what I want to provide for my students; I simply want to be a rock and a safe space for them, someone they can feel completely safe with to improve their skills and confidence, in fact, I think confidence is 90% of the challenge!
