Teaching Methods, Content, and Classroom Dynamics:

My teaching style initially focuses on fundamentally understanding each topic and proceeding with simple examples. From there, we can adapt to the learning style of the tutee or continue with incrementally challenging example problems to the desired level of instruction. Additionally, lessons will not be lectures, but instead working together to get to conclusions/solutions to deepen your knowledge of the topic. My goal is not only to improve your understanding of each topic but to increase your appreciation for what the material means! I believe that the best environment for students to learn in is one where they can see real life applications for the material to increase their interest in the topic.

Educational and Teaching Experience:

I am a first-time tutor, but have always enjoyed teaching and hope to become an educator and researcher at the end of my studies. My passion for teaching drove me to manage an educational science focused social media site, posting weekly content in numerous areas of science and mathematics. I feel that education is important and am very happy that I am in a position where I can effectively impart my knowledge to others.

Over my academic career I earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and am now pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Physics. While studying for these degrees, I took numerous mathematics, physics, engineering, and English writing courses and feel confident in instructing in each of these areas. I have additional professional experience in working as a Civil Engineer for 3 years, helping local municipal and private water systems improve their water supply and quality in the North-Eastern United States.
