I will be teaching in English mostly. My role will be to motivate you to repeat exercises and to explain the grammar and vocabulary. We will read and understand texts, write and translate. Additionally, we will hold conversations.
I reward diligence and encourage self-confidence. At times I may be stricter, but I always employ positive reinforcement and I actively avoid negative criticism.
With me, you will learn to think for yourself and understand the rules of the English language with logic and reasoning.
I officially hold a C1 English Proficiency, namely from the Cambridge Advanced English Examination, although that was taken during my gymnasium years at school. That was 9 years ago.
Since then, I have improved my understanding of English by studying History for a year at the University of Sunderland in England, as well as through tutoring sessions of various students.
Some students were businessmen and -women who wanted to sharpen their professional vocabulary, others were still in school.
I even had the opportunity to tutor two contestants seeking to win English contests, one of them going so far as to win at the Nationals!
My teaching methodology will cater to your specific needs and we will employ conventional and unconventional tools to make learning enjoyable.
I would prefer teaching short, 45-minute sessions to avoid boredom and keep the mind focused. It would be better in my opinion to have many short classes in a week, but your preferences will be of course prioritised.
The first teaching session is free.
