How My Lessons Work
In our lessons, I prioritize creating an engaging and supportive environment where students feel comfortable to explore and grow their language abilities. Here’s how my sessions are typically structured:
1. Assessment and Goal Setting: In our first session, I’ll assess the student’s current English level and work with them (and their parents, if applicable) to set clear, achievable goals. This helps us create a tailored learning plan.
2. Customized Lesson Plans: Based on the assessment, I develop lesson plans that match the student’s learning pace, strengths, and areas for improvement. My lessons cover all core language skills, reading, writing, listening, and speaking, while incorporating activities that make learning enjoyable.
3. Interactive and Practical Learning: I use a mix of activities such as storytelling, role-playing, and reading exercises to keep students engaged. For younger students, I incorporate fun elements like games and visual aids, while older students work on exercises that strengthen their comprehension, vocabulary, and writing skills.
4. Regular Feedback and Progress Tracking: After each lesson, I provide constructive feedback and highlight areas where the student is excelling, as well as areas to focus on. I track progress over time to adjust lesson plans as needed, ensuring that we’re always moving toward our goals.
5. Homework and Practice: To reinforce what we learn, I provide optional practice exercises that allow students to apply their skills outside of our sessions. I’m always available for questions and provide extra resources to support independent learning.
