My diverse teaching background allows me to easily adapt to different learning needs and approaches. I specialize in conversational English and on-the-fly language correction and teaching. I don't believe in purely teaching grammar structure for language proficiency, so my lessons tend to focus on situational language use and task-based learning. Some of my favorite lessons go like this: lesson objectives, target language to achieve those communicative objectives, example dialogue or context, and our own production using the language. This with highlighting of pronunciation and grammar errors on the fly and, if needed, a simple, practical explanation to never forget correct language usage again. Also, for beginners, my favorite lesson structure combines at least 3 objectives, simple guided conversations and filling in the blanks orally, vocabulary practice through picture-word association, simple grammar rules to combine structure usage and new language, and then practice through reading, repetition, and guided dialogues.
