With a degree in Chinese Language Teaching from university and a completed master's program in Chinese Language Education, I have accumulated nearly a decade of teaching experience in Mandarin Chinese. My teaching journey spans across universities, high schools, and middle schools in South Korea, the United States, and Taiwan, catering to both second-language foreign students and Chinese heritage learners. I am proficient in teaching both simplified and traditional Chinese characters.
In my classes, I often employ task-based and group activities to facilitate effective learning. I emphasize extensive use of Mandarin Chinese, demonstrating patience and empathy towards each student. I tailor my approach based on individual needs and abilities, fostering progress in language acquisition.
Over the past ten years, I have successfully guided students to pass the TOCFL exam and preparing for the AP Chinese test. Witnessing students evolve from zero proficiency to confidently using Chinese in their daily lives has been a rewarding experience. I specialize in guiding beginner-level students to intermediate proficiency, enabling them to skillfully use written expressions. Additionally, I excel in guiding advanced students in the interpretation of classical Chinese literature. My teaching style also integrates Chinese culture, allowing students to gain a deeper understanding of cultural nuances alongside language acquisition.
