Hello and nice to meet you! My name is Elaine Yalcin, and I am a dedicated English teacher with over 10 years of experience helping students achieve their language learning goals. I hold CELTA and TEFL certifications and have taught learners across all age groups, from young children to adults. In recent years, I have focused on teaching children, but I am equally skilled at working with teens and adults, tailoring lessons to their unique needs.

My teaching approach emphasizes the development of the four key English skills: speaking, writing, listening, and reading. Each lesson is carefully designed to match the specific requirements of my students, ensuring they gain confidence and proficiency in the areas they need most. I use a variety of teaching tools to create fun, engaging, and effective learning experiences. These include visuals, games, worksheets, realia (especially for young learners), music, PowerPoint presentations, and videos.

Over the years, I’ve taught in both schools and through private tutoring, which has equipped me with the ability to adapt to diverse learning environments. Whether it’s building foundational skills, preparing for exams, or improving conversational fluency, I strive to make every lesson interactive and rewarding (and fun as well!), and always oriented to the student's needs.
