My teaching approach is highly interactive, student-centred, and tailored to the individual needs of each learner. I begin by establishing clear learning objectives and creating structured lesson plans that balance theory with practical application. This ensures that students not only grasp key concepts but also know how to apply them in real-world scenarios.

I employ a blend of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles. In academic tutoring sessions, I use interactive discussions, collaborative problem-solving, and one-to-one mentoring. These techniques allow students to delve deeply into subjects, ask questions, and receive personalised feedback. Visual aids, real-life examples, and storytelling help make abstract ideas more accessible and engaging.

My experience is diverse and spans several educational levels. In addition to tutoring academic writing at the university level and tutoring in technical architecture subjects, I have also taught as a Contextual Studies Peer Tutor, where I supported my peers in mastering essay composition, writing structure, and comprehension. This variety has enhanced my ability to adapt my teaching strategies to meet different academic and technical needs, underscoring my versatility as an educator.

When working with children as a swimming instructor, I adapted my approach to be both playful and structured. I designed dynamic lesson plans that combined skill-building exercises with fun activities, ensuring each session was educational and enjoyable. This role reinforced my belief in learning through experience and positive reinforcement, a principle I integrate into all my teaching contexts.

As a native English speaker with no proficiency in German, I am particularly adept at teaching students with a basic knowledge of English. I focus on delivering clear, concise and personal lessons enriched with practical examples, ensuring that each concept is both understandable and relevant. I also encourage active participation through group discussions and interactive exercises, which not only build language skills but also boost learners’ confidence in using English in everyday situations.

Furthermore, I continuously assess student progress through formative assessments, such as writing exercises, informal feedback sessions and conversational english. This ongoing evaluation enables me to adjust my teaching strategies in real time, ensuring that every student’s needs are met and that their learning journey remains on track.

Overall, my teaching style is a reflection of my diverse experience, from academic tutoring at university level to practical instruction with children and is deeply rooted in a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. Whether guiding students through complex academic texts, technical subjects, or foundational conversational skills, I strive to inspire a love of learning and curiosity about the world.
