I am an English native speaker. Since I moved to Germany, I have been working at Sprachschule Aktiv in Mannheim as an English teacher since December 2021, teaching English from A1-C1. I have also obtained my B2-Telc certificate in July 2022 for German. My lessons are always organised according to my student's ages and needs. The range of my pupil's age range between 7 and 50. I also use a range of resources such as board games, flashcards, and presentations to adapt according to the student's capabilities. Moreover, I ensure that my student feels comfortable during the lessons, by being patient and understanding with them. Homework and staying active with the language is a key element to being successful with the language. This is why I always recommend books to read and podcasts to listen to, in accordance with their level. Normally, I use the "Great-English, Deutsch Buch " for the outline of each level, so that I ensure that every criteria has been implemented.
Furthermore, I was also an English and maths tutor in the UK. Attending a Welsh and English-speaking school allowed me to work as a tutor for less-abled students, that had difficulties learning numeracy and literacy. Being able to work enabled me to develop my adaptability skills, problem-solving skills, and most importantly communication skills. As a result, I could implement these skills today in my classroom.
Working for Nachhilfeunterricht would enable the students to receive high-quality English lessons that have also been embedded with engagement and interactivity.
