I have had very little but effective teaching experiences for the past one year. It has been one of the thrilling yet best experiences in my life seeing my students catching up with the english language. Experiencing your student going from having little knowledge to a language and now almost speaking it fluently is one exhilarating feeling and i think everyone should experience it to know how it really feels.
My teaching methods are quite simple, i love to teach my students the basics and allow them read and make up words on their own. i provide books for reading as well as textbooks for comprehension and grammar purposes. I give them assignments daily so they can work on their own in my absence which builds up their knowledge and ability to do individual work. I provide pdf story books which we use in practicing and improving our oral english skills.
As a teacher i like to have very good relationship with my student so I build a rapport with students before my very first learn lesson so we get to learn a few things about each other, also i like to encourage them on personal studies and practice because it's the best way to achieving great speaking skills.
I like to build system where students work together productively because familiarity within themselves will increase their wanting to practice the english language more often. Group studies and group assignments will factor in this and help with healthy competition to achieve the wanted goals of great communication.
