I approach the acquisition of a second language from a communicative perspective, in which the negotiation of content in interaction predominates. Most of my students have had as a common characteristic that they do not know the vehicular language, hence the initial efforts are focused on the comprehension of messages rather than on production. Therefore, the language is presented contextualized in a way that allows the learner to incorporate it in communicative processes in which each one will use the linguistic resources he/she possesses.
I make the classes from the real use of the language in different contexts, daily, travel, business, adjusting to the student's needs, prioritizing processes, teaching times and immediate use.
The student can expect an enjoyable, fun class, leaving the pressure aside, but rather understanding how exciting it can be to acquire a new way of understanding the world and communicating.
