My teaching is mainly authentic, so that my students can have a good grasp of the language outside the classroom. Students work in collaboration with real life situation. Though grammar and pronunciation is important, it is more important for students to feel confident in using the language in and outside the classroom. Hence, role play, speaking and listening, reading the newspaper will take up more of the course material and allowing the students talk time to be more than mine as the facilitator. I normally create a safe classroom environment so students can grow.

During my tenure at Emmanuel Christian Academy, Kingston, Jamaica I got the experience to create interactive lesson plans for Language Arts. Taught grade five and four students according to the National Standard Curriculum and the Abeka Curriculum. Evaluate lessons and assess students’ development. Communicate with parents regarding the students’ progress. Provide help classes for students with learning differences. I taught mainly English Language and reading for two semesters in 2022 to march 2023. I also did online class for a short time for these students.
At Ardenne High School, Kingston, Jamaica I taught for one semester in 2018
I taught grade nine students information technology and business studies according to the National Standard Curriculum. Entered students’ records in the electronic database (Renweb). Communicated with parents regarding students’ development.
