I graduated from University College Cork, Ireland with a masters degree in Teaching. I also completed a TEFL course during my undergraduate degree in Mary Immaculate College, Limerick. The nature of my studies has prepared me well for tutoring positions. I have worked in a number of different teaching settings and gained experience in teaching English throughout these different schools. I have also taught online for one year during my masters. My mother tongue is English but I also have a B2 level of German. I have tried and tested a number of teaching methodologies throughout the years. Firstly, building a relationship between the tutor and the student is important. Once I get to know my students I like to incorporate their interests and likes into the classes so that it can create a positive and fun learning environment. Finding topics that the students like to discuss is central to helping them improve their literacy skills in the target language. I consider myself to be very friendly, hardworking and enthusiastic. I am very keen to continue to broaden my teaching experiences and help as many students to learn as possible using a variety of methods.
