English teacher with a master degree in science

Hello there!
I am Silvia Ramos, born and raised in Mexico. I had a wonderful bilingual education since I was a young kid. Throughout my life I had a big affection towards the language and that is why I decided to do a full-master program in English.
Before entering the program, I presented the TOEFL iBT test and scored high-intermediate and advanced levels. Just recently in may of 2024, I completed my master´s degree (MSc of science) at the University of Stuttgart. During this period of studies, I enhanced even more my English level and I was very happy to complete my master thesis with an excellent grade (1) and received very positive comments about my work. Since English is one of my favourite languages in the world, I would love to work and share my knowledge in this area of tutoring.

General information about the class:
- Personalized class for covering a good amount of topics which need extra and regular strength.
- Via Microsoft teams ( I will send the link through e-mail).
- Three days a week (any day from Monday to Friday).
- 2 hours per day with pauses/ breaks.
- Price: 30-35 € h

My working plan:
- Reading and comprehension will be based on texts from different areas and topics which will help to also enhance and bring out new vocabulary. The key is to learn how to quickly scan or identify the most important content and comprehend it.
- Writing skills will be practiced by making essays. Here, we will practice sentence connectors and structures of writing. If necessary for the student, we can also practice how to make summaries and abstracts.
- Speaking exercises will include a variety of topics and the development of a fluent C1-level conversation.
- Listening will be covered by a hearing a variety of subjects in audio, enabling the student to be confident about the complexity and speed of the required English level. Most importantly, practice as well one of the most important tools for listening such as taking quite notes about the audio ensuring an optimum comprehension.
