PhD Candidate in English Literature & English Tutor with 4+ Years of Teaching Experience

I have 4+ years of experience teaching English and English Literature. Among some of my previous students are those preparing for standardised tests (TOEFL, IELTS), school leaving examinations (GCE O/A Level), and academic programs.

I believe in developing an approach that is continually tailored to students' individual needs. For example, a lesson plan may begin with a balanced focus on comprehension (25%), grammar (25%), speaking & listening (25%), and vocabulary (25%) but may shift as I learn more about the student.

I also highly encourage collaboration and usually dedicate a small amount of time at the end of each lesson to reflect on personal successes/challenges and potential areas for improvement. Ultimately, I hope to foster an environment where there can be trust and curiosity for learning.
