I am an English teacher, living in Beirut Lebanon, and an award-winning MIT contestant in knowledge-economy and an entrepreneur passionate about the correlation of technology, education, and design with the goal of creating interactive learning experiences within the Education sector with 6 years of teaching experience.

As an educator, I worked International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) English Language and Literature Instructor in an IB school, Wellspring Learning Community, for grades 6, 7, & 8, Personal Project supervisor for grade 10, and IB Extended Essay Supervisor for grade 11. As an IB instructor, I delivered a curriculum that helped students explore local and global concepts of identity, orientation in space & time, globalization, fairness and development, and much more through a student-focused and project-based approach. I taught literary works such as Esperanza Rising, I Remember Beirut, Tasting the Sky, 12 Angry Men, Brown Girl Dreaming, Collection of Edgar Allan Poe, and much more. Furthermore, in my first 2 years, I was also an English as a Second Language ESL Instructor. for 2 years at the school, creating niche curricula and teaching students from variety of cultures, Russian, German, Arabic, and French.

I also worked with the British Council as an ESL instructor to deliver the Higher Education English Access Programme (HEEAP) course in the HOPES Initiative (Higher and Further Education Opportunities and Perspectives for Syrians partnered with the European Union and Madad Fund. I held two cohorts, distributed over 1 year, one for A0/A1 and the other for A2 levels, providing personalized education to refugee students with Intensive English, scholarship opportunities, and Career preparation; with the aim of establishing a safe, cohesive, and communicative environment for the student’s learning needs.

Other than my work experience, I have also graduated with a BA in English Language and Literature with an Honors degree, CELTA Certified from Cambridge University, and IB Certified "Language and Literature: Delivering the IB MYP curriculum" instructor, in addition to HEEAP Teacher Training certs by British Council.
