As a highly compassionate and approachable English Teacher and Trainer, with 20 years
of hands-on teaching and training experience in top notch international schools systems of
Pakistan like Beaconhouse, The City School and Roots Millennium, Roots IVY and
Roots International, I am confident about my ability to become a valuable and productive
member of your teaching staff. I have taught many International Qualifications including
IGCSE, GCE, A-Level, MYP and IBDP; moreover, I also possess extensive experience of
training students for SAT English and IELTS to secure admission in the foreign universities.
I have an M. Phil degree in English Linguistics and Literature. Currently, I am doing my
PhD in English Linguistics at the University of Hamburg. Professionally, I am a certified
Teacher and Trainer having many professional teaching and training certifications (with
distinction) from The Cambridge University and UCL Institute of Education (IOE)
London UK. I have also successfully completed the workshop on Language and Literature
– Delivering the MYP curriculum (Cat. 2). Besides, I have conducted many workshops for
IBDP students on How to Write Extended Essay. I remain sensitive to students’ unique needs, employs effective listening, provides individual and whole group support, designs student-centered and differentiated lesson plans, reflects on teaching and learning processes, experiments with new
ideas, and offers positive encouragement and reinforcement to keep students focused and motivated. I strongly believe that English Language learning is a life-long learning process and the role
of the teacher is to enable learners to take charge of their own learning in a step by step
process. Therefore, I develop stimulating and flexible lesson plans that integrate and facilitate
all learning styles and ensure maximum opportunities for independent and collaborative
learning.
