Ana Cristina Acosta-Schumacher

I grew up speaking three languages fluently- Spanish, English and Portuguese- and have been involved in teaching and translating for close to 30 years. I have taught on many occasions because of my background in languages.

While studying in Spain, I taught young children English privately. During my stay in Venezuela, I taught at a language school in Caracas as well as a private school in Acarigua, Edo. Portuguesa. I also traveled to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil frequently and taught privately and by contract. Some of my clients included the CEO of Michelin Tires, as well as high-level executives in the oil industry. During this time, I was also contracted to give small group intensive English lessons as well as teaching at a language school in Ipanema.

After moving to Germany in 2005, I began teaching Business English for several different companies. I also organized workshops on specific topics, as required by my students. My experience is broad and has involved many different topics and age groups.

All of my classes are "tailor-made" to suit my clients' needs. I highly value interactive teaching and often try to use games, story telling and engaging my students to where they feel comfortable in any language setting. The method & materials shall be determined by a prior interview at which time all of these details can be discussed.

I am also available to teach Spanish and Portuguese.

I feel that I would be a great partner for improving language skills at any age, level and/or subject matter.
