Guten Tag! my name is Akhara Hashagen. I am from Cambodia and now living in Hamburg, Germany. I graduated with a Bachelor in Education in English (TEFL- Teaching English as a Foreign Language) in 2006 and a Master degree from Hiroshima University, Japan in Educational Development in 2012. I had a good number of years in Teaching English to Adults and Young learners ranking from Beginner to Intermediate level. In my classroom, students are the centre. I like to create an interaction in class so students have a lot of opportunities to use the language not just sit still and listen. From my teaching experiences, students learn best when they are allowed the freedom in class to ask questions, to express their idea and to interact with their peers in class. In a language class, grammar is important but what is even more important is the will/courage to speak the language. Therefore, it's important that students feel free to use the language with no fear of being laughed at.
