I've been teaching English from the very beginning of my career at university. I started with private lessons at home, followed by some substitutions at private institutions. As I grew up in the language and become more professional, I added more workplaces at my curriculum. I passed from being a substitute teacher to be an efective teacher at private language academies. Unfortunately, that became a challenge after the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world. Here, in my country, we teachers were forced to command classes online. Though it presented a significant challenge, I started to dabble in digital tools, social networking sites and other academic websites that would later make my classes more dynamic, entertaining and eye-catching for my students. What is more, I didn't limit myself to virtual activities since I admit that most of my students, especially kids, enjoyed experimenting with hands-on tasks, music and games. So, if you are or you have a kid who would like to learn English, let me guarantee you that distance and the medium of classes pose no limits to have a great experience. This same announcement addresses teenagers and adults who seek a better contact with the language.
